This personally is a very important part of a thriller opening because by giving it the correct 'spooky' effect, will enable us to make our opening seem as professional and as thrilling as we can get it. So for this reason i have thought that the best way to make it seem as much of a thriller is by having low lighting throughout and having light only on whoever is talking or doing an act. Equally we would use shadows as a way of showing us that someone is going somewhere for example have the man walking up to the grave in a shadow with his head down, or even in a very dark light to show guilt and regret.
Another idea is using black and white effect which would automatically make the audience more fearful as i have found out from my Audience research.
