Thrillers are a genre used within films, television programs' and literature which uses tension and suspense.They heavily create interest in the viewers anxiety, suspense, excitement, tension, terror, anticipation uncertainty and ultra heightened expectations. To also create suspense, they use many red herrings and cliff hangers, as well as many scenes which are the 'fight and chase' scenes and the cover up of information from the viewer.
